Vittorio, a young boy in his late teens, returns to his grandparents' house like every year to spend his last holiday at the seaside.
This year, however, he will have to confront himself and his emotions caused by the loss of his grandmother and the absence of his best friend; accomplice in his summer days.
Forced by his parents, he arrives in the Ligurian village where his grandfather Raffaele, a gruff and not very blood-filled man, with whom he is unable to communicate, is waiting for him.
Vittorio feels lost and alone in a place that until the previous summer was like a nest in which to hide and find peace.
